Project 1 (INDIVIDUAL)

CONTEXTUAL STUDY SKETCH JOURNAL OF TRADITIONAL STREET

TASK

In this project, I focused on analyzing Jalan Tun HS Lee in Kuala Lumpur. By conducting a site visit, I gained a deeper understanding of the street's context, including its buildings, shophouses, markets, and trading activities. I documented my findings and was required to sketch my interpretation of the street, accompanied by a summary. This process helped enhance my skills in observational sketching and analyzing Asian architecture.

Project 2 (GROUP)

POSTER AND SEMINAR- CONTEMPORARY ISSUES IN ASIAN ARCHITECTURE

TASK

For this assignment, we were tasked with conducting an in-depth exploration of a selected street as a group. Our chosen street was HARMONY STREET in Melaka. Through comprehensive site visits, we aimed to interpret and analyze key issues present in this area. By employing problem-solving methods and engaging in group discussions, we developed a framework to address the architectural challenges and sustainable heritage tourism aspects associated with the street.

Our objective was to identify and delve into issues related to architecture and sustainable heritage tourism. After completing our research and analysis, we were required to create a detailed poster that visually represented our findings. Additionally, we had to produce a 10-minute video presentation to communicate our insights and proposed solutions effectively. This assignment not only enhanced our understanding of the street's context but also honed our skills in collaborative problem-solving, research, and multimedia presentation.
