Project 2 (Group)

STRUCTURE AND BODY

Materials, Anthropometric and Ergonomic Exploration- 1: 1 Bamboo Activity Structure

brief

In this project we are to design a 1:1 bamboo structure in groups. We are required to understand the nature and characteristics of the material and demonstrate basic knowledge about construction. Joinery, structural quality and more are to be explored. Incorporating ergonomics and anthropometry into the 1:1 structure

tasks

  1. Introduce anthropometry and ergonomics in connection to form and space.

  2. Provide a basic understanding of structure, design principles, and architectural terminology applied to spatial and form configuration.

  3. Create and work on a structural installation, focusing on material, quality of space, human scale, and form articulation.

learning outcome

learning outcomes for this project include enhanced understanding and practical application of anthropometry, ergonomics, design principles, and architectural terminology in spatial configurations.
